That old (click → Covington Depot (2002) is one of my favorite "Shoebox Memories".
It takes me right back to the late 1940s & early 1950s, riding the old coal burner DSS&A RR (a.k.a. "Dust Sand Soot & Ashes" or "D*** Slow Service & Abuse") between St. Iggy and Bruce Crossing (or to Kenton after passenger service to Bruce Crossing was terminated) I can still smell the coal smoke and creosote!
The last 50 miles (we're almost there!) Nestoria, Covington, Sidnaw, Kenton, Paynesville and finally Bruce Crossing: The railroad depots pretty much all looked the same, tho' most, unlike Covington, were single-story buildings.
