Stacey Flood and her family, recently spent a few days over at Isle Royale National Park. They enjoyed some fantastic vistas all along their travels. She said they rented a small boat to get around from place to place and also did a bit of hiking, too.
You can see from her photos, that there isn't a bad view anywhere on the Island, it's just one glorious scene after another. Stacey included a shot of the boardwalks that the Park Service build for hikers to get over the wet spots on the trails. Those are really nice, so you don't have to get wet feet when you still have miles to go in your boots and socks.
The last photo is Stacey's nine year old daughter and the catch of the day for her. I'm guessing it is a Lake Trout, of which Stacey said they caught a few while there.
If you've never been to Isle Royale and you crave peace and quiet, then a visit to one of this country's most remote National Parks should be on your bucket list, even if it's just a day trip!

Beautiful views, thanks for sharing your adventure with all of us, Stacey. With what your daughter is holding in that last pic, I'm betting your family had a delicious dinner that night.

Great views of the island today. Peaceful and quiet. It looks the same as it did when I left six years ago after spending thirty one years there. Congratulations to the happy young lady that is holding supper in her hands. I've been trying to figure out where that picture was taken but I am drawing a blank.

I wish I could go over there, but I have a fear of going that far on that lake. Those are some amazing picture, though. I truly enjoyed every one of them. Thanks :-)

My eldest daughter, Susan, tries to camp there usually a week each summer. She's braver than I! Of course I was busy caring for a large family, like canning, freezing etc. And that was a different era too. Such a truly special place!
