I bet there were a few of those posters tacked up around Norway, Mi, on this day back in 1936... William Lemke was one of those rare third party candidates, just looking for votes on that warm August 2nd day in the U.P. Hear more about it on Sunday's Day in History.
Progress report on last week's construction pictures of the Eagle River monument. They are apparently all done with the tuck-pointing and the stones and mortar joints all look great. The plaque has not been remounted yet... and they never did find the time capsule :o(
