Dan Perkins has donated time and money to the town of Ishpeming by starting a community garden. Some city officials were not happy with this. How could they not be happy, everyone got to participate, learn and take home fresh produce. A few days after he was told he couldn't use the plot anymore, someone destroyed at least $300.00 worth of veggies. I don't get it.

the falls and I wonder....just how many people
have had their picture taken by the "beginning of
US 41" sign!!! I know we have a few of those.

Waveaction: I don't think that it's because city officials were not happy with this. When people are public servants' (as are city officials) they are then obligated to go by the rules and the rules say that city property cannot be used for this type of thing. The other option would be to change the rules, but then what other things would that open city property up to? Very sadly these kinds of instances are more complicated than they appear to be. As for someone destroying $300 worth of veggies; I cannot say what I really think of that person or persons because I wouldn't be allowed to post it on this site!
