Here it is once again, the end of another month, that which marks the halfway point to the end of the year, too. In our long-held tradition here on the Pasty Cam, we pause this day each month, to remember those who have passed on before us. In June we hold the following in memory:
Dean Albrecht Allan W. Hochstein Sandy Lasanen Steve Ruotsala Judith I. Sherman Donald Venturino Servicemen and women who have given their all
I just want to mention one name from above, Don Venturino. He was special to me, as he was my Uncle and I hold many great memories of him in my heart. He grew up in Laurium, a real Yooper, but transplanted downstate, so for most of his grown-up years he was a troll. No matter what, though, the U.P. and Laurium was always his home. Whenever Calumet or another U.P. team came downstate to play, he was rooting for them. He was the last of my parent's generation on my side of the family, so his passing makes me officially a part of "the older generation" now.
All of us here at Pasty Central offer our sympathy to those that have lost someone special. Please feel free to mention someone near and dear to you on this page and add a memory if you wish. Special thanks to Joe Kirkish for the brilliant sunrise photo with which to reflect on our memories.

What a gorgeous photo! I'm remembering a friend and former co-worker of mine who passed away unexpectedly this month. We was only 58 and I remember him fondly. He loved to talk about The 3 Stooges because he knew it drove me crazy, lol! Thinking of his family.

In memory of my best bud. John Steve, gone at the age of 53 this month. I was his friend for more than 40 years.
We did a spring time canoe trip on the Two Hearted river every year from 1978 to 1999. We hunted and fished all over the place.
We used to do the second week at deer camp for years and head to my Mom's for Thanksgiving dinner, then back to camp.
Things won't ever really be the same but we'll all go on.
I mean thanks to Pasty.com for the opportunity to post this.

Remembering all my loved ones who've gone before, and now my sweet son-in-law, Ernest Bond, who left us much too soon this past May, and my brother-in-law, Joe Grubbs, who left us in June. Sorely missing them all! But God is enjoying their presence now!
