Barb Bouwkamp likes to take her four-legged friend, Parker for his morning walk, along the shores of Lake Superior at Big Traverse. Parker enjoys the sand, the water and fresh air, but he mostly enjoys visiting with friends that live just down the beach.

The day Barb snapped these photos, she and Parker were out on the beach at 6:30 in the morning, so Barb said she was glad that the friends Parker was "looking in" on are early risers, also, and that they were very good natured about Parker peeking in on them. By the looks of the greeting on the deck, they do enjoy each other's company!

Reminds me of our Buddy who sometimes knocked me down when he greeted me like that. On an old smartphone somewhere I have a video of him up by the Garden City Dam running toward me full tilt and jumping up for a hug. Wonder if I uploaded that somewhere back in the archives?...
