Last night on a ride between Houghton and Marquette, Edie and I saw a couple of mooses just east of Koski Corner. I tried to take a picture, but it was too dark to show up. In the Gallery we found these from Dave Di Pietro, which gives you a good idea of how they looked.

Wish we had time to write more, but running behind on another medical follow up trip downstate. Thanks again for those of you who remember us in your prayers.

Have a good week :o)

Safe travels, Charlie & Edie! Watch out for the mooses!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Sunday, June 7, 2015 - 06:41 pm:

I agree with Jbuck ~ safe travel and God speed. Keeping you and Edie in prayer!

The only place I've seen moose was in WY.

Awesome pics! All the best!

I will be remembering you and Edie in my prayers. God speed!

Sending prayers! Not sure where you mean by Koski Corners. I know there have been several sightings in the usual spots by Covington and Three Lakes.

By Diana P. (Diana) on Sunday, June 7, 2015 - 10:21 pm:

Continuing to send prayers from here, too, Edie and Charlie. God bless you and keep you safe in His care on your trip downstate!

"Koski Corners" is a gas station/convenience mart on M-28, at the junction of M-95, which goes south to Iron Mountain. This is east of Covington and Three Lakes, and west of Ishpeming.

They must still be plentiful on Isle Royale.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Monday, June 8, 2015 - 08:22 am:

The only place I had seen moose was in the wild at
Yellowstone. Then one day on our way home from
Grand Forks, ND after visiting our son in college,
we saw one out in the field off of, I believe
it's, I-29. Very cool!!

Praying Edie gets better every day!!

By Cindy, New Baltimore, MI (Cindy) on Monday, June 8, 2015 - 09:31 am:

I love looking for moose, but I've only found them
one time in my life. Last year, when we got home from
a trip to the Keweenaw, we heard saw that a moose was
hanging out on the golf course of the Keweenaw Lodge!
Who would ever expect to see one there?
