YAY! I was so excited when I saw these budding photos from Donna MacIntosh in the Baraga/L'Anse area. It can only mean one thing…Spring has arrived there and hopefully our trees here in the Keweenaw will be starting to bud out soon!
I love the hues in Donna's photos, with the colorful buds against the blue, blue sky! Then top it off with the sunshine kissing the buds, it doesn't get much better than this for springtime shots!
Donna's last photo is quite the view. I'm guessing it is looking over Keweenaw Bay, but I'm not sure if it's from the L'Anse side or from the Baraga side. Any guesses until Donna chimes in to tell us where it is for sure?

What beautiful photos, Donna! Yes, Mary, I'm sure that's a very welcome sight for all of you UP north. Hooray for Spring!

The new beginnings of Spring are always refreshing to see. Fortunately spring, summer and fall last just long enough to build up a tolerance for winter again.

My dad always called them "mouse ears". When the mouse ears came out, it was time for trout fishing. No mouse ears over hear on the east end yet. Lots of float ice in Whitefish Bay still.
