Over in the Brimley area, Brenda Leigh is getting antsy to get in her Mom's perennial garden, so she shoveled several feet of snow from it. She said she wanted the Hyacinths to be able to come up before June. Lo and behold...look what she found under the snow, already sprouting! Yes, those are Hyacinth buds coming up through the ground even with all the snow that was on top of them. Amazing, hardy perennials, for sure.
Meanwhile, Bob Gilreath here in Hubbell, finally spotted the first of their crocuses that bloom every spring. It sure is wonderful to have the new colors sprouting. Dare I say that Spring may have Sprung?

Those are very uplifting sights. Pictorial proof that Spring shall not be deterred.

I used to think daffodils, crocuses, and hyacinths are the stupidest flowers, but then I decided that that they have been coming up in the snow for a million years, so they must know best.
