Dorothy Jamison's nephew, Riley was UP here in the Keweenaw for Spring Break last week, so she decided to do like any other Spring Breaker does and go to the beach with him... Bete Grise Beach on Lake Superior that is. She invited her friend Amy Roberts and her son Keedin along and despite the snowflakes flying and the cold air, they had a blast.
Unlike Spring Breakers that head south with swimsuits, goggles and suntan lotion, Dorothy and her crew had their snowshoes, mittens and parkas on the beach with them. She said the ice sheets had begun to pile up and the boys just loved the clear ice they found. Gotta love Spring Break at the beach!
P.S. In case you're wondering, yes, today's Amy Roberts is the lady who suffered a traumatic brain injury after being struck by a car while jogging, back in 2011. It's great to see that 3 ½ years later, Amy has recovered and is out enjoying the Keweenaw beach on Spring Break! :-)

Well, it ain't Miami, but I'm betting Amy doesn't mind a bit...she looks very happy to be there.
