Bob Gilreath has been laid up for a number of weeks now, due to knee replacement surgery, so he hasn't been able to get outdoors to do any picture taking. He snapped these visitors to his Hubbell home, from his dining room window. He calls them his "shut-in shots".

He sure gets lots of wildlife visitors to the feeders in his yard, including redpolls, various woodpeckers and of course the red squirrels, too. Some folks consider these bushy-tailed critters a pest at the feeders, but they've got to make a living in the wild, too. ;-)

We hope you heal quickly, Bob, we're anxious for you to be able to get outside snapping pictures again!

Beautiful 'shut-in shots', Bob! Thanks for sharing. Wishing you a very swift and complete recovery!

I especially love the expression on the squirrel perched on a pole picture! It reminds me of what I see in my backyard when a squirrel is taunting one of my little dogs. The squirrel gets just out of the dogs' reach and fusses at the dog!

Thank you for your great photos, Bob G.! I hope you get well soon and back to your usual activities. I know a little bit about being laid up. I had major spinal surgery in late January, but I keep getting complications, like the incision's not completely healing yet and a very blood clot (active DVT). Hopefully it will all be much better very soon. My youngest son graduates from Michigan Tech on May 2. I will be there by hook or by crook!

Happy Easter everyone! We have a Winter Weather Advisory here in mid-Michigan (Tri-City area) for Easter morning, sigh.

Great pix...love the detail and clarity.
Speedy recovery, Bob...I know a lot of people who have had joint replacements and they are doing fine, just remember to follow through with the rehab exercises.
