Barb Bouwkamp took a drive out to Big Traverse to see what the shoreline was looking like and to check whether they can drive in on their camp road yet. Negative on the later, but she did find plenty of open water on the shoreline and her dog, Parker was busy inspecting the remaining snow and slowly emerging beach out there.
She also spotted some driftwood beach art sticking up out of the snow, soaking up the sun's rays. I really like the looks of the pine tree photo…look at the bare ground showing around it. The melt is on and it's exposing more and more bare ground. HOORAY!
Barb's last photo is another good sign, when the snow on the roof starts slowly sliding off, creating an overhang, the temperatures are a-rising. All we need is a few sunny, warmer days and before you know it…the dirty spring snow will be gone. We're patiently waiting, Spring - any time now.
