Sad news today, from George and Paulette Beveridge:

"WE LOST PRETTY BIRD LAST FRIDAY - 3-13-15. We saw him on Thursday for feeding and he didn't come out Friday, so Rick, our photographer, was out Sat. and he and George walked around the area to look for him. They found a bunch of his feathers but no animal tracks so they think an owl killed him and took him away. We had great fun with him for about 8 years and I think he enjoyed the food and attention from all who met and feed him. Just thought I'd let everyone know. George and Paulette"

Thank you for sharing Pretty Bird with us all, through your photos for the past 8 years. What a special experience to be able to get that close to one of God's wild creatures. I'm sure that he enjoyed your attention as much as you enjoyed his attention. So sorry you have lost your feathered friend. :-(

Oh dear, so sorry to get the sad news about Pretty Bird. He had a long and happy life and enjoyed the company of his friends. George and Paulette took good care of him!
