Another thought, for future reference:
Since a matrix is a bit of a limiting factor for presenting a growing number of thumbnails, it might be nice to have a scroll bar of thumbnails instead, where clicking on any thumbnail (or each in turn) would link to the original Cam Notes page on which that picture appeared — preferably in a new browser tab, thus showing all of the accompanying pictures of that day, and associated comments as well.
One could then easily return to the thumbnail scroll bar on the What'sUP page in the original browser tab, closing the new tab/tabs, or not, as you prefer.
I'm not sure what degree of effort that would entail, and certainly there's no rush to implement any further change.
Certainly I don't expect this be a high priority for "Chopper", with Edie's current medical issues. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Edie as the ultimate priority right now.
(I have really considered fetching my software development hat from the closet where it has been stowed for more than a decade, and learning HTML5 from the ground up, but I'm not sure how swiftly I could get up to speed. Given that, hopefully another volunteer with the proper and current skill set might step up to the plate instead.)
