Beth Jukuri was doing a bit of "dog sitting" and was handsomely rewarded for getting up and outdoors with them for an early morning walk. Beth said the morning she snapped these photos, they were out for a 3 mile walk and the snow was crusty beneath her feet, making her feel like she was in grade school again! How fun is that…natural therapy, enjoying the outdoors with four-legged friends that keep you going.

The sunrise they were lucky enough to observe is outstanding and I love the way it lights up the banks of the Sturgeon river, too. Early morning is so quiet and peaceful, like medicine for the soul.

Beth said the last photo is a spring near her home that runs continually. Interesting ice designs it leaves with the brisk morning air, even ice bubbles that have frozen as the water cascades from the pipe.

For some reason, the song, "It's a Beautiful Morning", by the Rascals, keeps playing in my head!

Sorry again for posting today's shots a bit behind. Especially busy day, as Edie was released from the hospital after 2 months. We are still in Petoskey but hope to be back in the Copper Country early in April. One of our goals is to be walking a dog again, down U.P. trails. These shots are very inspirational :o)

Charlie, we hope one of your Easter blessings will be a return home soon.

Very nice shots.

That's great news Charlie!
Walking your dog through the woods will be good therapy for both Edie and you.

Nice pictures, great to see free flowing water. The reflection of the sun on the water in the second picture makes a great street light.
