Paul Nelson, photographer and owner of The Creator's Hand Photography, shares some photos with us of the recent Northern Lights displays over Lake Superior. Last week we had night views of the horizon from the Keweenaw, these today are the lights that danced in the sky east of Marquette.
In Paul's first shot, you can see a bright streak, just about in the middle of the photo. He actually captured a meteor in the midst of the Aurora, too. Quite impressive and it sure makes you think about all the things going on around and above us, that we don't even see, because we're fast asleep when they're happening. Thank goodness there are folks like Paul and our other photogs that stay up into the wee hours of the morning to capture it all and then share it with all of us sleepy heads.

The photos are spectacular? does one need a special camera to take photos of the night sky? I have had NO success.
