Helen Wenzel must be getting anxious for the camping season to begin, as she was out at the Ontonagon Township Campground and Park snapping pictures of the receding snow piles and LOOK…there's even patches of grass showing!

But then further into Helen's snapshots, you can see that there are still plenty of icy looking mounds out on the Lake Superior shoreline there, too. Never fear though, all we need are some more warm days and the Big Lake will begin to open up and the ice will float out to wherever it goes as it melts away. Then, before you know it, the gates will be opened up once again and the campground will be filled with campers, wood smoke and the sounds of people enjoying camping out in the great U.P. outdoors. Come on Spring…we're waiting!

Great photos, Helen!! Sniff ~ I can almost smell smoke from the campfires.

I can't access the what's up page. But, I wanted to mention that today is the first day I have seen ships on Lake Superior on the Lake Superior Traffic Page. Whoo Hoo! Summer is here!

Mary says: Sorry about that, Bob. The link next to the photo on the Pasty Cam page (the one with all the photos for the week) isn't working, but if you click on the link right under the last photo on this page, that will take you to the What'sUP page for today.

Nice photos. That looks like a very nice park. It is nice to see the white areas turning into brown areas which turn into green areas.

i have also not been able to access some links on pasty.com don't know what my problem is.
i've tried to access 'if you've missed last week' and get the message that the page no longer exists. never had this happen before

Mary says: George Piker...I'll let Charlie know the links aren't working so he can get them fixed. Thanks for letting us know!

What a lovely park! Even with the dirty, piled
snow, I can see that these grounds will be
welcoming & comforting in the warm months :)
