Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, the shamrocks have sprouted here UP North. Brenda Leigh went out in search of them a few days back and found several to brighten this Luck of the Irish day!
Did you know that the three-leaf shamrock was used by St. Patrick to explain and teach about the Trinity? That is why the green clover represents St. Patrick's Day as a symbol to mark the day, both in windows and on clothing. And of course green is the color of the day, with folks wearing green clothing and rivers, beer, as well as parade routes being dyed that color, too. Make sure you put on your best St. Paddy's Day colors or you just might get pinched!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
