Today we welcome a newcomer to the Pasty Cam pages, photographer Sharon Bodenus of Unique Photography in the Gwinn area.
Sharon shares some icy shots with us today, hoping that the warmer temps will be melting all this ice in the near future. Her first photo was snapped at sunset from the Presque Isle break wall and light in Marquette. You'd need some pretty hefty spikes to walk on the wall there right now. And forget about trying to skirt around the fence, it's loaded with some pretty thick ice on the left end and the other side.
The remaining three photos were snapped at the Eben Ice Caves in the Munising area. We featured a couple from about the same spot two weeks ago, but these show a different angle of just how thick that ice piles up in the corners and up above, too. It's nice to see the sun shining on the yellowed ice, too. It gives me hope that before long all that ice and our snow banks will be just a memory again. Hurry up Spring!

Ah Marquette! So good to see this pictures. Amazing the Big Lake hasn't taken down those gates!

Yellow ice? Is that a relative of YELLOW SNOW? Seriously! Great pictures. Wish I was there. Mostly all our snow is gone and the rivers are now starting to go down. Some flooding but not too bad this time at my house.

Mother Superior certainly served up a nice icy treat for the breakwall. The Eben ice caves look cool, or cold. I looked at Sharon's webpage and she does have an eye for a great picture.

Hi James W., if yellow ice were related to yellow snow...that's some output.
Speaking of yellow snow, I introduced that concept to a foreign visitor last year. The company I work for has an office in India, and a woman from that office visited our SE Michigan office last winter. While here, she wanted to try cross-country skiing. Out on the trail she got thirsty, so I suggested she eat some snow. I added the Frank Zappa warning "Watch out where those huskies go; Don't eat that yellow snow". She got a charge out of both the concept of miles of potential drinking water and the yellow snow.
