When I first spotted today's photos from Donna MacIntosh, I thought the colored sky and cloud shots were taken at sunrise or sunset from her Baraga home. But that is not the case. She did snap them from her home, but then she decided to play around with the different settings she found within her camera itself, to "enhance" her photos.

Donna took a little photographer's liberty, adding some interesting color schemes to make them really pop out at you. I like the results and am truly amazed at what the digital cameras we have now-a-days are capable of doing.

Good work, Donna, those are beautiful!

Hey everyone,
Sorry I didn't get a chance to add anything to my photos from Friday/Saturday. Nat and I got really busy with visiting friends and just enjoying ourselves in the Keweenaw, knowing that on Sunday we'd have to return to the tropics. Before I forget: Thanks Mary for selecting my photos for the CamNotes; two days in a row no less!

Digital cameras are amazing these days; they have definitely come a long ways since the first ones. Even though I own two, I still love shooting a roll of good transparency film in my Nikon F6 on occasion. It's always good to remember your roots when it comes to photography..... ;-)

Amazing pictures Donna! You captured the beauty of the Winter season!

Thanks! And Capt. Paul is sure right...digital
cameras have come a long way! I'm finding stuff in my
camera, I had no clue was there! Fun stuff!!!

Oh and I forgot to mention; great shots, Donna!
What are you shooting with, btw?

Fantastic pictures displaying great slight of hand. I wonder if Paul Eastman ever thought of something like that. I am sure he would be amazed at the world of photography today.

Beautifully done.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 - 09:04 am:

George Eastman would be surprised too.;)

A really beat up Nikon Coolpix S6100...and that's all
I know..cause it's written on the cam! I've dropped
it too many times, the lens cover doesn't shut...but
I love it....and it still works!

Shirley: My memory failed me. Something that is occurring with much more frequency these days. Good thing breathing is a natural process or I would forget.:)

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 - 12:12 pm:

You're still too young for that to be happening, Duane. Wait 'til you get to be my age.;>

I have to confess ~ the only reason I knew Mr. Eastman's first name is because my husband worked at one of the Eastman offices in Kingsport, TN many years ago.;)
