During our coverage of Winter Carnival last week, we received this note with the top photo, from Melanie Hakala Rossi, for this week's Shoebox Memory:
It was 1964, my uncle Dennis Moilanen was in the Fraternity The Independents, the statue took 2nd place in Class A, Hansel and Gretel. My mom said it was a bunch of local guys that worked on the statue and were in the frat. That is me on the left with my sister.
