West of the Iroquois Lighthouse on Whitefish Bay, is Pendills Creek. Brenda Leigh made a visit there in the midst of a snowy day and what she found there was peace and quiet with not another soul in sight. When she first arrived at the parking lot that leads down to the Lake Superior Shoreline, it looked as if there would be no getting in. But then after walking part way in, she decided since she had a shovel on board, to take a chance and drive in there and found it wasn't too bad. The pictures here today are the result of taking that chance.
Pendills Creek flows under the small bridge/walkway you see pictured in Brenda's photos here, which also then leads down to Lake Superior after crossing the creek. Check out the nice bench there to sit and enjoy the view of the Big Lake from the shore, weather permitting of course. ;-)
