When you look at this snowy Keweenaw field, photographed by Judy Byykkonen, it looks empty except for the blanket of snow covering the ground. But, upon closer inspection, you'll notice there's something standing out there towards the back of the field, near the trees. Someone built a snowman back there or could it be Frosty, since Judy said there were no tracks around? Hmm…
While we're thinking about that…let's take a look at the elusive, bright orb in the daytime sky, called the sun. Judy captured it trying to shine through the cloud cover. Even though we don't see it very often in the winter here UP North, this photo is proof that it really is still up there.
That tire swing in the last photo, has been hung up for the winter months and has its own coating of snow, but I'm thinking that it might be fun to take it down, get it swinging good and high, then jump off into the cushion of snow we have on the ground UP here. What do you think? ;-)
