When Lindsay White made a drive to Wisconsin for work this week, she had to leave Calumet in the dark, early morning hours. She was on the stretch of M141 between Covington and Crystal Falls when the sun began to rise and came UP beautifully with a Sundog, so of course she had to stop and capture it to share! The beauty you see in these shots are the reward Lindsay gets for having to be awake before the birds and on the road, traveling.
The last photo, doesn't have a connection to the Sundog shots, but rather is related to the Christmas decoration photos we featured back on Christmas Eve, 2014, from inside Chad Johnson's decorated home. Today's photo from Chad is the outside of his home, which dates back to 1888. His Mom, Denise added a description to the photo, that I cannot improve on, so I'm just going to end my notes with her words:
Inside and outside, it's always lovely, with Spring Forget-me-Nots covering the shaded yard in blue, and the summer gardens full of color, then turning the grounds in the Fall to carpets of golden reds, piney needles, and cones everywhere. In winter the residence is so white with boughs heavy with snow. I love being there any time of the year. It was once the home of my son's great-great grandparents. The interior is a tour of photographs and mementos from then until now. What Chad has done with this beautiful home is truly quite a tribute to the history of his Racine grandparents.
Thanks to each this morning for the photos and comments :o)
