They say that everyone has their 15 minutes of fame, and ours came in the spring of 2000 when the Pasty Central story appeared as the showcase site of the year at the State of Michigan IT Summit. Some pretty high powered speakers were there: corporate officers from Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Compaq, Cisco, Ford and GM... and Pasty Central. Governor Engler even appeared to present the "Young Entreprenuer of the Year" award. You can hear The Pasty Central Story here in Real Audio.

Hard to believe we have been at this project for over 7 years, which in Internet age is ancient. And we just keep on meeting new friends and continue bringing the "Best of the U.P." - both on the web and by Express delivery from Calumet.
