Whew! An amazing day for your weary Pasty Cam editor. On the road, encountering numerous challenges, almost didn't make it with today's glimpse of the U.P. Maybe tomorrow morning I can tell more of our harrowing adventures during this long day which began in Munising and ended in Toledo, Ohio.

It sure is good to pause and enjoy the peaceful beauty of Superior's shore after such a day. Thanks to Doug Smith, who incidentally received WOW honors last week.

It may be the end of the day, Charlie, but what a wonderful shot to end it! Just OUTSTANDING!!!

Aren't we incredibly blessed to live near this lake? At the end of a rotten day, or to begin one...watching the Earth give birth to the sun, there is simply something so spiritual about Superior. Time spent on her shores can soothe the turmoil in your spirit. Or it can feed your soul to tackle the day or even another week. We are truly so fortunate to be here.

Thanks for giving me the "WOW" honors last week Charlie. It's raining today here down state. Makes me wish even more I was still up there taking pictures!

Hey Doug, Where's this shore?

Where?, this was taken by my uncle's cabin on Bete Gris over by Lac Labelle. It is one of my favorite places to just sit and watch the waves or watch the sun rise.... turn to the left and the sun sets are awesome from here! It's also a place I love to photograph.

A person could just bend down and pick some new sauna rocks, go home, build a rippin' hot one and feel the cleansing of body and soul. What would be really special is if you had a cabin on the shore of Superior and could cool off on your porch watching this scene.......am I dreaming or what????

To Donna: I think we must be twins because I feel exactly the same way you do about the lake. It is very calming whether it is wild with waves or smooth as glass. There is just something about the continuous lapping of the waves on the shoreline. It never stops.....no matter what is going on around the world. I can have the worst day at work and if I drive out to the lake, life just doesn't seem so bad! I always feel a sense of "renewal" after being there. Yes, we are blessed.
