Snow

By
Charlie at Pasty Central on Sunday, December 10, 2000 - 04:02 pm:

A typical December Sunday morning, after a windy, snowy Saturday night. Interesting to compare conditions with the last 2 years (follow the links on the main Cam page), and see no snow at all this week, both years.

Won't be too much longer until we see the snow-go down our street again.

Sno-go

Hey there. Getting nice and fancy with the snoblo in motion.

I'm impressed with the action photo!! It has potential as a screen saver for the wannabee yooper like myself.

I remember as a kid, after the snow blower went by, it made for great street hockey under the street light in the evening. Now to get my hockey fix, I have to go to the Phoenix Coyotes games.

Charlie,
The longer time passes, the more one forgets how much snow is a real snowfall. It certainly is falling there this year.

By Dale Kruczynski, Phoenix, AZ. on Monday, December 11, 2000 - 12:07 pm:

Snow Blower brings back memories of them getting stuck on our old mine road. And all the days we missed of school because they could not make it through the snow drift at Techumsi Mine.

To Scot Turnquist of Desert Hills AZ. There is nothing wrong with a good game of Phoenix Coyotes Hockey. Phoenix Mustangs are not to bad either.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you U.P.ers. At least you do not have to travel 100 miles to see the snow.

Nothing wrong with the Coyotes- but can't beat that game of street hockey! My kids pucks/sticks get quite chewed up on asphalt. The kids here draw pictures of winter scenes- still have sidewalks lined with palm trees.

Oh, for snow instead of ice.

By Betty in AZ on Tuesday, December 12, 2000 - 01:16 am:

Sounds like alot of MI Yoopers out here in AZ.
The snow is pretty 'up home', but still glad I'm
just looking at it on the Patsy Cam. Glad for the Patsy Cam too. What beautiful pics.

I have just been reading "The Long Winter Ends" about a Cornish Miner who went to live and work in your area. seeing the photos of the snow really brings home the differences they faced when leaving Cornwall.

I enjoy visiting this site with all the pasty news.
