Yesterday's election was quite a barnburner, eh? Hope all of your local candidates won. They STILL don't know who the next President will be, but it looks like here in da Keweenaw we'll have a ski hill, after all the dust (and snow) settles.

I had enough of all that noise, just had to get away down here by the Lake. Well, it's not totally quiet with all them waves. Ahh... but it's a noise I love to hear.

Toivo Let the rest of us join you on that beach, all the noise of the last days has just worn me down. What I need is the beautiful sound of them waves crashing on the beach to again remind me of what is important.

Looks like you could use some flames in that campfire - looks a bit chilly up there. We had snow on the ground this morning for the second time this week. Didn't last, though. Most of the white stuff went north of us, I think.

This location looks familiar. I remember playing volleyball on a beach similiar to this over near Redridge. Brings back some great memories. We almost lost our keg. It was in the cold Lake Superior water staying nice and chilled. As we started to drain it, it began to float. Rookie mistake in our freshman year up at Da Tech'. We noticed it when it was about 50 feet out from shore.

The guy who jumped in and saved it deserved a medal.

Only at Da Tech does one learn the finer points of keeping a keg cold in da big lake!

Gosh, can't let a half-finished keg o' beer get away! That's almost a sin in the German Lutheran church (or at least the German Lutheran seminary I attended).

And we all know we'd rather be Bushed than Gored, eh? Or is it we need a Bush to sit by to drink our beer? Anyway, I know you don't want to Gore a can of beer--makes a mess and wastes beer.

I like the site. Keep up the good work. I live in the lower state, but have spent about 4 years in the Soo, and about 5 in the Gwinn area. I love it up there and wish to someday retire in that part of the state.
