I certainly hope the person who emailed this shot will leave us a note here. We've had quite a number of contributors to this daily feature, now in its third year. Every attempt is made to identify and credit the photographer, but this beauty slipped through the cracks.

It was quite chilly this evening here in the Keweenaw. A fitting way for the last hours of summer to slip past. With the arrival of Autumn, the canvas of the Keweenaw is undergoing its wonderful color change once again, and we look forward to the new season with anticipation.

And here's a suggestion: name the image with your a name and a number to increment, as you send additional shots. For example, dsmith01.jpg, dsmith02.jpg, etc.
