When Brant Clements emailed this shot captured by his wife Melanie, it was evening here in my room with only one lamp... so there was low light to begin with. A bit blinding to click on the attachment and see the brilliant rays almost burning a hole in my screen. Scroll back up there and take another look - as bright as you would imagine an atomic reaction (which, being the sun, I guess it is :o)

And the aspect ratio of this shot is the second surprise - twice as high as most of our 'big pictures'. This reminds me of a Pastyvision shot a couple of years ago... only, turned up and down.

This photo reminds me of so many of the sunsets I've taken at McLain. It wouldn't be summer without at least a week at our favorite campground! We were blessed with five beautiful sunsets very similar to this one while we were there this summer for seven nights. Next summer seems so far away!
