Now there's what Halloween Dress-Up was all about!

By Toivo from Toivola on Sunday, October 28, 2001 - 03:02 pm:

The cars in the distance look like 1940's? but the closer one is square like the 50's. The aviator jacket looks Eisenhower era, too. Perhaps today these kids would be in their 40's and 50's.

Whadya' think?

Almost looks like there are leaves on the trees - was it a late fall or an early Halloween??

By Char, Calumet on Monday, October 29, 2001 - 03:25 pm:

Are the kids standing near the old Charles Briggs school; corner of 4th and Pewabic St in Laurium?

By Evelyn Texas on Monday, October 29, 2001 - 05:03 pm:

It looks like Pewabic Street and has the look of the 40's judging from the clothes. The Ike jacket could be aviator jacket which would fit the WW11 era. Times were simpler then. I know, I went to the Charles Briggs school and was very young when the war was going on. I wish I could recognize some of the children.
