George and Paulette Beveridge took a ride to Paradise, over on the eastern end of the U.P., so they could check out the Tahquamenon Falls during this springtime melt and rainy season. Amazing waterflow there, as you can see in the pictures they've shared with us here today.

According to the sign they snapped a shot of, the volume the day they were there, was 10,978 gallons a second less than the record flow back on May 10, 1960. Here again, like the other waterfall pictures I featured earlier in the week, I can only imagine the deafening sound that much water raging over the edge like that must make.

I just have to add this question today…Did you noticed the location for these falls, Paradise, MI? Quite aptly named, wouldn't you say?

Those water falls are so amazing. Paradise is quite the quaint little town!

Beautiful pictures. I could sit on the bank and watch the waterfalls for hours. That sure is some frothy water below the falls.

I so love seeing these pics and can;t wait to get back. I miss going up to Great Sand Bay and just sitting and watching the water. Or riding my bike down the beach in October and getting drenched with that cold Superior water. I can't wait to get back. It's true what they say. Every time you go a part of you stays behind when you leave.

I was at Tahquamenon Falls on Wednesday, May 14th, and it was awesome! I have never seen the falls like that in my life. The color was a deep root beer color and the water was rushing so furiously that it made the river full of foam. It looked like a giant root beer float! The roar of the water was louder than ever! It is worth the trip out there, for sure. However, I saw an article the other day stating that the trails to the falls were closed because of high water, so I would check first. Here's the article. http://www.wxyz.com/news/high-water-levels-on-tahquamenon-river-leads-to-closure-of-river-trail
