The Calumet Figure Skating Club held their annual skating show this past weekend and Gail Ongie was there with camera in hand to preserve some of their moments on the ice. The theme this year was An Icy Blast Through Movies Past. So each of the routines, were set to music and represented particular movies.

It's amazing the talent our young people have and fun to watch them perform in productions such as this. I especially like all the colorful costumes for the various sets. And what a treat to see the young men out there helping with the performance, too.

Many hours of practicing goes into a program such as this, which is very refreshing in this day and age, to see that our young people can be so dedicated and hard working to put in the time to make something like this happen.

Kudos to the kids, the parents and the skating instructors, too.

How I envy these kids, I never mastered the art to ice skate. They sure make it look easy and graceful!
