Temps may get up to the 50's today here in the Copper Country. Name at least two years in the past 14 where that has happened around this time.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! We even made a emergency rescue to the neighbor's dog. Full size Collie panicked while neighbor's were gone and squeezed through a 5 in. space in her pen. She was yelping so loud we could hear her inside our house. Bob pushed away the fence post she was caught on and pulled her on out. She has done some extensive damage to her hip and leg. Hope her owners have developed more compassion for her welfare than what she had when I phoned her about it!

Packers won the game dispite the play of the dirtiest team in the league.......

JT...perhaps you interrupted dessert. You know how testy people can get when they are eating pumpkin pie. Keep us updated on the Collie, my favorite dog. We had a Collie/Spaniel mix when I was a kid and I named it...you guessed it, Lassie.

OH, that's terrible, Janie...it's my feeling that folks like that shouldn't be allowed to have pets of any kind! We had some neighbors once (in PA) who had a German Shorthair, which they kept in a very small concrete-floored pen, and one really hot (90s) day I saw the woman and their 2 small children leave. In the course of the day, the dog turned over his waterbowl and I had no way of giving him more. The dog yelped all day until they got back home. I called the SPCA but was told there was nothing they could do!! :[

NOT the dirtiest team in the league...just the dirtiest, ONE, player.... on the team. ;O)

Neighbor lady said their Collie only suffered skin abrasives. Ha! that does not make a dog loose control of it's hind legs, leaving it to pull it's self around by the front half of her body and dragging the rear half!

Just my 2cts. worth, Janie, but I believe I'd have a hard time calling her a "neighbor", other 'names' come to mind, if you get my drift...

Shirley, I think she means well, but she is clinically ill being bi-polar and has limitations. She will ask for suggestions, and I respond, but how she sorts my answers, is a mystery.

Well then her condition explains the situation. Forgive me, Janie, (and everybody) for judging....I just thought she was being 'uncaring' about her doggie.
