Another colorful 14 year review... but which of today's photos were in black and white?

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 - 04:59 am:

Good Morning! 2001, 2003, and 2008 were in B&W.

I like the old black and white pictures, especially the railroad shot.

Bob and my brothers will be leaving the U.P. today heading into central Wisconsin nearing the last leg of their motorcycle journey. Seems like they have been gone for a year! They have had a ton of fun!

I love these shots today!! Well, I love them every day, but I love the history in some of them. And the butterflies and bee pictures are so totally awesome, also.

Janie, sure hope we get to see lots of cool pictures when your hubby gets back :)

Thanks!! Have a great day!!

J.T: Coming back is always the hardest part of the trip, but it looks like they had a good ride. I'm sure they will enjoy lots of good memories from it.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 - 08:13 am:

Alex, but Bob will be returning back to me! What could be better? That's a loaded question eh? Bahahahaaaa!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 - 09:07 am:

Ooops…Let me rephrase that. Bob will enjoy the great memory that he will experience upon his return home to you.
There, that sounds better :)

Nice comeback there, Alex..... ;-)

We are a fun bunch!! One of the reasons I like this site and FaceBook! Alex is right, always hard to come back to reality!!

Great pics, and I like the butterflies, 2. For those who don't know about it, here's a website of old photos of the U.P. especially the Copper Country.

J.T.: I am wondering if Bob and the gang passed through Ontonagon on their trip. Perhaps on the way to the Porcupines? I have done that a couple of times on the Wing, once from Baraga and the other from Houghton. Both are very sweet rides with lots of twisties and curvies. Then again, it is hard to find a bad ride in the UP, be it on motorcycle or otherwise.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 - 05:01 pm:

Alex, they left Iron River, Mi. this morning and headed for Pardeeville, Wi. just north of Madison. From there tomorrow morning they will head for Madison where my brother, Tom will head home to Chicago on his Vulcan 900. Bob and my twin brothers will then head for Dubuque, Ia, then on home here in Cedar Rapids. Bob made the comment Monkey Butt powder is a biker's friend!!
