We can see telephone poles in any year since we were born?!

Here's a neat little reminder for us all: (from an email)

We often take for granted simple things that are true blessings indeed! However, when we stop and look at life through a child's eyes, we sometimes become more aware of these blessings. For out of the mouths of babes sometimes comes great wisdom indeed!

The Seven Wonders Of The World!

A group of students was asked to list what they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following got the most votes:

1. Egypt's Great Pyramids

2. Taj Mahal

3. Grand Canyon

4. Panama Canal

5. Empire State Building

6. St. Peter's Basilica

7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet, so she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.

The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to See

2. to Taste

3. to Touch

4. to Hear

She hesitated a little, and then added,

5. to Feel

6. to Laugh

7. and to Love

The room was so full of silence you could have heard a pin drop. Those things we overlook as simple and "ordinary" are truly wondrous. This is a gentle reminder that the most precious things in life cannot be bought. God gave them to us.

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections. So, may you always be happy and see beyond.

I thought that was just beautiful and wanted to share! Happy Saturday!!

My Grand-mother alway's said ,"To see the love of GOD look into a child's eyes."

Donna: Wasn't the girl's 7 wonders mentioned in the movie, "Bells of St. Mary's?" Also, there should be an 8th wonder of the world: The Mackinac Bridge.

Tom...No clue...got it in an email today and just wanted to share!

And what should be the FIRST Wonder of the World....Lake Superior!

Donna, thank you ... that is a beautiful reminder. My Mom, bless her heart, used to say, "You're going to be about as happy as you make up your mind to be." Happy Weekend!! :)
