Good morning! I've been waiting for the question, but I don't see one.

Oh well, time to get on the road for God's country.

Have a great day!

How wonderful what a person can find on a computer. I googled my grandpas- sisters name and I came across a page with my grandpas' parents, wedding photo, of course my great grandparents. Then I went on to read the story of the two of them. Well, it was about my great-grandmother. Her name is Jennie Mary Karjajainen but changed the last name to Karjala when they came here. I wonder if they are buried in the Bootjack Cemetary?

Their only daughter, Irma Abramson-Hannula, my grandpas' sister was also mentioned.

Let me stop.

Does anybody know where Bootjack, Mi. is located? Did not find it on the map.

Thank You.

By JimH (Jhattica) on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 - 05:37 pm:

Bootjack is an area with boundaries mostly dependent on who gives them to you
9th street in Lake Linden is the Bootjack Road
go out 5 or so miles, past the Rice Lake Road, and you will come to the Bootjack Fire Department,
However, the actual Bootjack may extend for any distance in any direction

I also read that it could have been named Karjala, (bootjack)

I also read that it could have been named Karjala, (bootjack) after my great-granmothers' family

mickill mouse. FYI, there is no Bootjack Cemetary. There is one however in Jacobsville.

RCW; I truly messed up on that one, I just did not go back in and correct it, Sorry and Thank You. I am going out there and see if she is buried out there. (Jacobsville);O)
