It looks like the Pasty Cam has officially gone to the dogs, today. First with the trio of Santa's helpers in the top photo, belonging to Paige Wiard. It always amazes me when folks can get their pooches to wear things like the Santa hats and scarves these pups are sporting. We've had dogs that would tug and bite at them, until they succeeded in getting them off.

Then there's Judy Byykkonen's, furry friend, Mandy. If snow all over her snout is any indication, it certainly looks like she is enjoying the snowy Keweenaw weather we've been having, lately. Mandy made herself a trail to get off the deck and seems to be waiting for someone to come out and play with her. From what Judy says, this pup is quite the character, full of energy and bounding with joy! Proving that the Keweenaw is a great place to be a dog! :->

Dog-gone those are the cutest pictures! Dogs are the best!

Dog is God backwards! (but don't tell my cat that!)

Cat were once worshipped as gods and they have never forgotten this.

By Theresa R. Brunk (Trb0013) on Friday, December 18, 2009 - 07:28 am:

LOL.. A cat would never put up with this. That's why Dog is mans best friend. Only a true friend would allow you to play dress up as an adult and not laugh at you. Great pics today love the look on those guys faces. Worth the trip to Pasty.

The dog was worshipped as Gods by the Greeks, Egyptians, Tibetians, to name just the very few of many.

My two dogs just love the snow. But when it gets to deep for them to move real well, I'm out with the snowblower putting more paths in the yard, besides just to the bird feeders and compost bin. My neighbors must think I'm crazy but my dogs sure appreciate the "run ways" I make for them, I like them too!!

Weatherman here in Duluth is anticpating a good snowstorm for Christmas Eve/Day. He has been naming our winter storms like they do for hurricans, we are on "B" now, I wonder and secretly hope this one is a big one, its to be named Bertha. So years from now I can run around saying, "Do you remember the year Big Bertha came for Christmas?" Just being silly!!??

Oh My, love the Santa Dogs. Our ShihTzu has a santa suit. and just can not handle a hat. In no tim e at all it is on the floor. But when he has his picture taken with Santa he keeps it on. Think he is afraid of Santa???

Cute pictures! I can understand Mandy's glee -- I love snow, too! Hope you all are enjoying it. :)

Awww, so cute!! I love to see doggies....and kitties in photos on Pasty! They give such warm feelings. And speaking of 'worship', I have a cat who thinks that the sun rises and sets over his shoulders!:)

Cute dogs! They sure are sitting pretty for the camera. My dog was under the Christmas tree the other day, getting a drink of water. (what a dog thing to do hey) We couldn't see her, but could hear the lapping sound of water being drank. My wife looks at me and says...'man that tree is thirsty!' Guess we better check the water more often? (No dogs were harmed in the posting of this message)....Have a Merry Christmas all.

Yesterday, our new baby Chihuahua turned 7 weeks old, said goodbye to her Mother and came to live with us. We been waiting for a long time, since before we knew if she would be a boy or a girl. It is our 4 th. Chihuahua. She is single birth, so had mama all to her self. Now she will have 2 brothers & a sister. The boy's we can dress up, but not our girl who will be 1 yr. here soon. She just won't let it happen, which is a shame with the nice outfits we got for her. Maybe this little girl will let us.

We have hard rain here in Tennessee now, with snow in the forecast after 7:00 p.m. tonight. Two weeks ago we had a dusting, and it was so pretty to see. Merry Christmas everybody, I hope the change many have been looking for will come your way in the New Year. I come here each day to read, see, and hear all the great things Pasty has to offer, but haven't slung any ink down in some time. But that don't mean I have none to offer!

When I was little, my Grandma had a cat that let us dress her up. She chewed gum too. LOL!

I just moved to Milwaukee from nearly 40 years in H E double hockey sticks, ah...er....I mean Florida. My ShihTzu Sam loves the snow and loves to wear a hat. He also has a pet of his own, a cat named Charlie. They love each other like brothers. Sam brought Charlie home one day a year ago. He was just a little scared lost kitten. He's been with us ever since.

What a riot and a good chuckle. The Pasty net is
always good for a smile. I have found when driving around the U.P that everybody seems to be quite friendly and welcome. I've seriously not run into a mean person! No kidding.
Even at the end of the tourist season people
were still happy to see us. How do you account for this I wonder? The U.P might be said to bear more hardship then other areas. More snow for certain. Hard times as well. I have talked to locals and they seem to be more then happy to carry on a conversation with us annoying tourists.

By Fran in GA (Francesinga) on Friday, December 18, 2009 - 08:01 pm:

Cute dogs and I love seeing the snow pictures. We havehad a lot of computer problems so I really wasn't sure how much you had. Dave H. no snow here in N. Ga. Just tons of rain. I am really tired of it. I have been wearing my "Think Snow" sweat shirt but no luck yet! Have a nice Christmas everyone.
