Looks like maybe Brita Haapala's family might have a new addition (or two or three) to their family. Either that or they were just petting and having fun with these cute little kitties. Nothing draws the attention of children, faster than baby kittens (or puppies) and these photos Brita snapped explain that attraction quite well. Just one look at the faces of those tiny balls of fur and you can see why Sophia (in the last photo), fell in love.

Have to admit a preference for puppies, but these kittens are sure cute!

I just love kitties. They are so cute and so much fun. Right Mary?????????

Cute little and very lucky kitties, unlike what happened here due to the results from the severe floodings we had last year. Sadly a lot of the hit hard neighborhoods are just over-populated resulting from abandoned or stray cats and kittens. Horrible cases of distemper in those areas as well. Some of the luckier cats and kittens have been rescued. Just another side of the damage never thought of brought on by flooding.

Thats cute. I am also a dog person but we have a cat who acts like a dog so we get along pretty good, he actually looks like the one in Sophias arms. We adopted him from the CCHS as an adult so we didn't have him as a kitten.

Our local cat rescue's annual meeting is Wed. evening. That's my new project for this year. They've done so much good for our area! But we need to continue to control the population.Help in any way you can in your area. For one thing it's not fair to let all these marvelous creators of God suffer and die. We all know how our critters have personalities in our own lives!

The two cats I currently have (Bagheera and Kissa) were strays and they are the loviest cats. It pains me to see cats on their own, especially in the winter. I want to save them all.

Awwwww!!:D I love all animals, wild and domestic, but my all-time favorites are kitties! The best remedy for achieving 'calm' in your life! Thanks for the sweet photos! God bless you, Kay, for 'getting involved'!

Looks like Caturday has come early this week.:)

Brita great job on the photos of the new addition to your family..if that is so. If NOT I am sure you had a very tough time separating the kitties from the children. You have a magic touch when it comes to photographing your beautiful children.

Bill and I made it Marquette and turned around and came home. He got food poisoning in Marqutte and I got it in Mackinaw City on the way home. PLUS it rained the whole time in Marquette. Oh Well! better luck next time.;O) After my food poisoning in Mackinaw City I started to feel it and we made it to Oscoda and got a room for me. We got home this afternoon and it will feel good to sleep in my own bed tonight.;O)

What Bill got us to eat in Mrquette, he ate his and I did not want mine. What I ate in Mackinaw City before we left there, I ate and Bill was still recovering from his. What a trip. ;O)

Omigosh, Mickill Mouse....what an awful experience. My husband and I had food poisoning at the same time once...we were staying in a motel while on a trip. All we could do was race each other to the b-room, munch saltines and chew Pepto-Bismol tablets. Just lasted a day and 1 night but it was certainly a feeling you never forget! :p

By Therese (Therese) on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 - 09:58 pm:

Lovely little cats -- I can feel my blood pressure drop and neck muscles relax. How sad that after a lifetime of cats I am now allergic and get asthma when around them. I am perforce a dog person now, but still have a warm spot in my heart for cats.
