It is cold and windy here, It is so windy you can hear it come through the exhaust-vents in the bathrooms.

The sun keeps peeking out, just do not look directly at the snow or it will blind ya!

It seems we should have some wise words here from "gormfrog" to celebrate the winter solstice!

I like the 2006 photo - "No Snow", it was a very mild winter. That was the year I bought my Goldwing and I was riding on Christmas Day. Man, do I miss global warming.

Alex don't worry. Global warming is still active. Just because we aren't feeling it right here doesn't mean it's not somewhere else in the world. Just the thought of losing all that ice around the North Pole area and the loss of glaciers is proof of global warming. A recent visit by Ann Curry on the Today Show shows how much the snow etc. has disappeared from Mt. Kilimanjaro(sp) as an example. I don't believe in sticking my head in the sand and saying "the sun is gone"! (Hope this doesn't disappear from this page as I can't do the politial thread)

For those of you who would like to go some place where it is nice and warm and feel the sand between your toe's, while sipping on a Margarita, but your a little short on cash. Don't fret, just turn the heat up high, get yourself a six pack, and go stand in the kitty litter. A U.P. wife's favorite wine this time of year, " I want to go to Florida!" Or you can get "one of my get away's" from Westgate Resort and just do it and save.
