WOW, 2005 is a beauty. Love pictures of storm clouds over the lake.

Happy first day of summer everyone, feels like spring is finally here.

I sure do wish I could attend, but I won't be up there until the July 3rd. Can anyone recommend a good place to watch the Copper Harbor fireworks? I will be on a Goldwing motorcycle so it has to be a paved area. I was thinking about Brockway.

Alex...do you ride with a group?

Janie...this trip I will be solo.

Alex - try the overlook, just up the road to the top of Brockway, but you'll have to get there really, really early, since it's a popular spot. The public dock and the 6th Street Park are also good spots, but usually there are a lot of people both places.
We're hoping for a good crowd and GOOD WEATHER!!! this year.

Sharon...thanks for the info. By the way, I really like your website "A View from the Field". Nothing beats Brockway Mountain at sunrise.

It is a beautiful day here! The first day of summer after a wierd spring. I really hate to know that the days will start getting shorter now! We are leaving in a few minutes for Columbus, Ohio to visit a brother-in-law. Looks like rain going down and tommorrow also.

I'm home from my knee surgery Tues. and doing fine! Walking is the easy part, therapy is a killer!

You should head to Da Lake Marsha, mental therapy is just as important as physical. Soak your knee in Superior, much better than an ice pack!

It's been my experience that the overlook starts to become a parking lot after about 2 in the afternoon.

In 2005, a woman and her children had their pizza taken off the hood of the car by a bear, which they'd been using for a table.

So Alex - no munchies in the saddle bags!

I have been lurking — I never miss my daily pasty fix!
Other than that just been kinda busy (What, I have a life?)
