I'm always fascinated by the photos of the building of the Mackinac Bridge. On this day in 2007 we first featured this precarious shot, and several other from the State of Michigan archives. Today we revisit this epic project, from the very first ideas that set it into motion. Hope you enjoy the 55 minute documentary we discovered, with the history behind many of the scenes that have appeared on the Pasty Cam during the years.

Since I'm just now seeing this, I will watch the video another day. I've seen documentaries on the building of the bridge and it just amazes me. What a work of art and how brave those men were.
