The Pasty Cam has visited the Tahquamenon Falls quite a few times in the past 19 years, but maybe not quite as often in the winter months. Back in 2013 Cindy Freeman was there with some friends and snapped a picture of them out on the observation deck, surrounded in white. Her second shot here today shows that the falls were running, but there was still plenty of snow around, even at the bottom of the falls.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago when Brenda Leigh was there and you can see there is an increased amount of water flowing over and at the foot of the falls the snow has been washed away. Quite impressive and to think the big melt is yet to come. I can only imagine the roar of the water during the spring melt at Tahquamenon.

D3 Imagery takes us all for a guided tour of the Falls today. Fasten your seat belt and enjoy the flight!

A nice group of pictures of the falls and the visitors there. Also I like the drone footage. I don't know how much a drone costs but if I had one I think I would be a little leery about flying it over water. They are able to fly but they don't swim well.

Beautiful pictures and footage! Have only been there a couple times in the Winter and it was before they started clearing some of the trails back to the Falls. The contrast of the water & snow really is spectacular.

Looking down on the edge of the Falls makes me wonder: does anyone know if they are 'moving up stream' the way Niagara is? Have never seen anything about an edge breaking off and it seems the viewing platform is in the same basic location that it has been for my 60+ years. Rebuilt a couple times but not moved that i'm aware of.
