The Pasty Cam
Week of May 24 - 30, 1998
Saturday, May 30

By special request, one of the senior employees of Still Waters, Verna Kangas.  Do you have a favorite Copper Country personality you would like to see on the Pasty Cam?

(hat's off  to all the employees of the Elders Home for their dedication and hard work)

Deer listening
Friday, May 29

Near Eagle River, this deer was caught posing for the Pasty Cam. In the Keweenaw we often see deer, bear, and other creatures year-round.
(Notice how green the grass is from yesterday's rainstorm.)

Thursday, May 28

The Homestake Mine Shafthouse in Kersarge. In the late 1980's an attempt was made to reopen this mine.

(We really need the rain trapped up in those clouds.)

A tight fit on the lift-bridge
Wednesday, May 27

A glimpse of some high-tech logging equipment as it inches its way under the Houghton Lift Bridge.

(barely fit under the bridge with only about two inches to spare.)

Tuesday, May 26

The Pasty Cam travelled to a wedding in Wisconsin over the weekend.  Found some conflicting signals near the border.

Pleasant days at Still Waters
Monday, May 25

On this Memorial Day we honor the memory of all who have made possible the freedom and way of life which we enjoy.

(some of our ladies at Still Waters Elders Home in Calumet enjoy the morning sunshine)

Sunday, May 24

Many shots from the Pasty Cam are now by request of our viewers.  A visitor from Georgia suggested this landmark: First Baptist in Calumet.
